NEIL'S MAXIMUM DEPTH 4khz SETTING !!!!
Combine this setting with a 15" coil for amazing results.
DON'T SET LIKE THIS IF NEW TO EQUINOX OR NOT MASTERED YOUR MACHINE !!!!!!!
This is the maximum hot setting for experienced users, if you want the machine tamer, increase your bias, increase recovery speed, decrease sensitivity and turn off full horseshoe or any combination of these !!!!!!!
First things first, the 4khz update is a specialist setting, as in an extra tool on your Equinox for finding larger targets at depth.
It is a very quiet stable setting so perfect for hearing and picking out targets using the extra depth of 4khz.
What is a large target I hear you say!!!
Well in my opinion from all the testing etc i did I would say from at a push pre decimal half penny size ie 25mm and all sizes larger than this, a good marked improvement in 4khz.
Artifact size ie 25mm buckle and up.
Of course some smaller finds will come through but those usually won't be an improvement on depth.
A large majority of small finds won't produce a signal at all, but you won't know about these as you won't get a signal.
Don't try use 4khz as a general search mode, that would be a very big mistake.
Field 1
Start from threshold.
THRESHOLD..... I use 5 but depends on your hearing.
Make sure there's a quiet hum in the background.
Then long press and put to pt1 to 1.
TONES..... 2
then long press and put t1 to 1 and t2 to 25.
ACCEPT/REJECT...... long press and put to 1.
RECOVERY SPEED.... 1
IRON BIAS F2............ 0
NOISE CANCEL.... depends on your location.
GROUND BALANCE...0 only ground balance if its very highly mineralized.
VOLUME........ 25
then long press and put t1 to 1 and t2 to 2.
SENSITIVITY......... 25
FULL HORSESHOE... ALL METAL.

Interessante, ma solo per grosse (e ovviamente profonde) masse secondo me. Recovery a 1 richiede spazzolata lentissima! Certo che con la 15 pollici, spazzolata ultra lenta, sensibilità massima e la profonda 4khz adatta a oggetti di una certa taglia, dovrebbe sfondare parecchio!

Mi domando cosa si possa scavare con settaggi di questo tipo accoppiata alla piastrona da 15, visto che già con la piastra std e ricerca field1 in
multi sfonda da paura
